It's a family affair! We didnt ride the train last year at Rockaway Beach but this year we made it happen and it was so much fun. The day started out gray and foggy and it remained that way a majority of the day but weirdly enough, the train ride to Garibaldi, just a few miles away, was sunny and such different weather!

Steam Train ride information here

You can choose to ride inside the train, outside but covered or outside but uncovered. At the time we rode, masks were required on the train even if you happened to be sitting in an outside car unfortunately.

From our Airbnb, the walk to the train was just a few minutes away which was very convenient but they also had free parking as an option too.

An area that had tons of logs stacked on top of each other with sprinkles hosing them down

Now we are in Garibaldi! See that G on the hill? A telltale sign...haha

Me and Tony's mom stood in the drive through line at the local Dairy Queen because their advertisement of an orange creamsicle dipped cone sounded delicious. (It was okay). They were not allowing people inside the DQ and the sign said customers could stand in the drive-through if they didn't have a car. So funny huh!

We walked around the town for a couple hours until it was time to get on the train again. Found a cute shop on the main street that had so many neat things inside. I looked for all the owl items of course.

The scenery was so beautiful! It was fun spending the time with Tony & his family

Such different weather here vs. Rockaway Beach just up the road...

Back to the fog!

A train selfie and my trusty Crocs. With socks. Ha!

What a great time. I would recommend doing this train ride if you are ever in the area!
